Common questions this answers
- Is Material Delta the same as Price Delta?
- Where do costs come from?
- Can I use this for change order approval?
What Material Delta answers
Material Delta estimates cost impact caused by quantity changes in a revision: added cost, removed cost, and net material impact based on user-provided costs.
What it is not
It is not final accounting, change-order authorization, or contract enforcement. Costs should be reviewed before customer submission or approval.
Difference from Price Delta
Material Delta is quantity-driven. Price Delta compares price movement between pricing sources, even when quantities do not change.
