Large file performance
What to expect with 10k, 50k, and larger spreadsheet workflows.
Users running large BOM, quote, or price filesUpdated May 10, 2026
Common questions this answers
- How large can my file be?
- Why is the browser slow?
- Will exports include all rows?
Browser-local tradeoff
Browser-local processing protects raw source files by default, but the browser still has memory and performance limits. Large spreadsheets can take longer to parse, compare, and render.
Practical tips
- Use CSV for very large files when possible.
- Close heavy browser tabs before running a large comparison.
- Use filters and exception-first review instead of scrolling every row.
- Exports should include the full result even when the visible table is batched for performance.
When to ask for help
If a normal export consistently fails, contact support with the workflow, file type, browser, approximate row count, and the step where it failed. Do not send raw files through the support form.
